Mara van der Meulen received her MSc in developmental psychology from Leiden University in 2014. She is currently a PhD candidate at the unit of Developmental and Educational Psychology. In her PhD project, supervised by Prof. Eveline Crone and Prof. Rutger Engels, she focuses on the neural correlates of prosocial behavior in childhood and early adolescence. Her project is part of a larger longitudinal twin study (the Leiden Consortium on Individual Development ) that aims to investigate the development of social competence and behavioral control. The research is funded by a NWO Gravity grant.
